Unless you meet one if the license-exempt criteria in the Exemptions Rule opens in a new tab , you are required to have a license or certificate from Child Care Licensing if you are or will be providing home-based care for more than 6 children not related to you or you are administering a center-based program that provides care to children for direct or indirect compensation.

If you are a current child care provider and are in the process of changing your facility location, a new license application will be required.
